NICU Nurse Practitioner Locums Opportunity - Worcester, MA Quick Facts

Availability Requirements Weekday Coverage (Onsite)
  • Monday-Friday: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Night coverage is onsite
Weekend Coverage (Onsite)
  • 24-hour coverage required
  • Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (overnight onsite coverage)
Schedule Structure
  • Continuous NICU coverage model (single-provider coverage rotation)
  • No call responsibilities outside scheduled onsite shifts
Licensure & Credentialing Requirements
  • Active Massachusetts Medical License - Required
  • Board Certified - Required
  • PALS Certification - Required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Neonatal Fellowship Training - Preferred
  • NICU experience strongly preferred (Level III/IV setting)
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Assigned rounding patients
  • High-acuity NICU coverage
  • Inpatient neonatal care management
  • Stabilization and ongoing management of NICU patients
  • Collaboration with NICU intensivist team (when applicable)
Practice Details
  • Cerner EMR
  • No outpatient responsibilities
  • No call outside scheduled onsite shifts
  • 24/7 NICU coverage model (provider coverage continuity)
Additional Notes
  • Either NICU Intensivist or NICU Nurse Practitioner eligible
  • Must be comfortable with full inpatient NICU coverage responsibilities
