Position Summary | The Senior Software Engineer, iEXCEL supports the iEXCEL vision of Improving Human Performance and Effectiveness in Health Professions Education through the ongoing development of a data capture system (iEXCEL) that assesses, measures, and reports the iEXCEL Measures of Success. The goal is to ensure that iEXCEL tracks the Return on Investment (ROI) for academic, community and statewide outreach missions. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of development and maintenance of iEXCELNOW (the system), including requirements, developing applications, testing/validation and deployment. Applications created will focus on automation and provide the ability to implement data into core systems to drive efficiency, as well as integration of AI into the processes. This position collaborates with the various iEXCEL teams (Advanced Simulation, Human Simulation, Surgical and Interventional Simulation, the Emerging Technology Lab), as well as all iEXCEL Research activities to ensure effective capture and reporting of data and projects. In addition, this position supports the business mission for iEXCEL through ensuring continued innovation and assessing responses to requests from external departments or entities. This position serves on the Technology Selection and Integration Work Group and works with iEXCEL leadership and the Emerging Technology Lab to ensure that Davis Global Center web operations, as appropriate, are efficiently captured and streamlined. |
